Position: Director, Records Management Center & Shredding On Site
Reports to: Vice President, Operations
Records Management Center & Shredding On Site (RMC/SOS) has provided secure, dependable, and customer-focused records and information management services to Northern New England for nearly 30 years. We grew from a small records storage warehouse in Bangor, Maine, to a fully integrated data life cycle management and destruction business providing services to thousands of customers throughout Maine and New Hampshire.
Mission
Lead a high-performing team to drive business growth by expanding our information management services and maintaining strong customer relationships. The Director will build and promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer focus, while ensuring efficient operations and driving market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Development
- Build and lead a team focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, following the EOS Traction framework.
- Create a positive work environment that aligns with our DRIVE values.
- Lead and mentor department managers overseeing operations, sales, customer service, safety, security, and information technology.
- Operational Excellence
- Set direction and provide strategic oversight for daily operations, focusing on process improvement and long-term growth.
- Integrate digital services, systems, and automations that enhance operational effectiveness.
- Ensure safety, security, and compliance across all departments, assets, and properties.
- Customer and Sales Focus
- Drive exceptional service by leading teams to prioritize customer satisfaction, resolve issues promptly, capturing new opportunities, and build long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to identify and grow new business, including introducing digital solutions that add value.
- Represent and promote the company by proactively engaging customers, key stakeholders, and vendors, and by attending industry and community events.
- Strategic Growth
- Work with senior leadership to develop strategies for profitable growth and long-term success.
- Execute growth initiatives, including market expansion, strategic acquisitions, and introducing new digital service offerings.
- Financial Oversight
- Manage financial performance, focusing on profit and loss, cash flow, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring the financial health of the business.
- Collaborate with finance to track key metrics and use data to guide decision-making.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Compliance and Security
- Ensure all services meet security and regulatory standards, maintaining relevant certifications.
- Oversee safety and security for fleet, facilities, and data operations to protect physical and digital assets.
