The Records Center Specialist assists in the day-to-day operations of the secure specialized storage and scanning functions of Records Management Center (RMC), a provider of information management solutions throughout Maine and New England.
In this role you will focus on supporting the company’s reputation for superior customer service, safety, security, and confidentiality, while working with the team towards profitable growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Work on your feet all day; Lift, load and move boxes (average weight: 40 pounds); Climb stairs (ladder)
- Responsible for the efficient, timely, and accurate fulfillment of orders, customer requests, processing inquiries, and inventory control of a specialized storage facility, primarily box and file retrieval.
- Interacts with Office Administrative staff to uphold superior customer service.
- Helps ensure optimum use of facilities, and equipment. Performs inspections as necessary.
- Helps implement logistical and operational process improvements under the direction of Record Center Supervisor.
- Assists with facility, security measures, safety standards, efficient utilization, and maintenance.
- Learns, understands, and fully utilizes technical software, including records and inventory management database software.
- Must positively represent the company in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational skills, and work habits.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics and privacy codes.
- Must adhere to corporate Confidentiality and Non-Compete Agreement.
- Must adhere to dress code
- Other duties, as necessary.
Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least one to two years’ experience in a warehouse/physical atmosphere and/or Service industry and/or team-focused environment
- Basic computer skills required
- Forklift/Wave experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs without assistance
- Commitment to adhere to and enforce all security procedures
