The Shredding On Site (SOS) Shredding Operations Specialist will asist with the safe and timely destruction of customer material at our plant-based shred facility in accordance with guidelines from the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID). Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the individual in this role must be able to safely operate forklifts and material processing equipment, possess solid problem-solving abilities and have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Operations Supervisor in performing safe and timely destruction consistent with NAID guidelines
- Perform daily unloading operations
- Assist with assembling and tracking outbound paper bale loads
- Clean up after daily offloading and shredding activities
- Assist with machine maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- 1-3 Years of experience in hands-on operations experience, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Previous forklift experience – Must be able to successfully complete company Forklift Certification
- Must be able to achieve National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) certification (company will sponsor) and complete a Confidentiality Agreement.
- Computer Experience is Required
- Possess a ‘safety first’ mindset.
- Ability to lift at least 75 pounds consistently.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
